Decorations
Anything goes nowadays! From traditional to contemporary, to whimsical to Goth, couples are expressing themselves in their own unique way.
Floral Accents
Nothing makes a better statement than flowers, whether they be fresh, silk, gumpaste, or butter cream. Once the cake has been set up flowers are added very easily. Petals from 3-4 fresh roses is all you need to scatter around the base of a cake. Four to six flowers will make a lovely topper.
Ribbons are definitely in! We have a large selection of floral ribbon to choose from. Only use waterproof ribbon whenever possible with our real butter cream icing to prevent butter bleed-through. Try to avoid ribbon with wire that kinks or velvet finishes that might shed fibers. Color coordinate with table settings, flowers and bridal bouquet. We will place ribbon on for you.
Here is an example of how you can transform our Simplicity wedding cake with two and a half dozen fresh roses. A little creativity goes a long way. This cake took about 15 minutes to decorate.
You may decorate your cake with just about anything to capture the spirit of your wedding day. Monograms have become very popular recently.
(Due to the diverse tastes of the modern bride we do not sell any traditional bride/groom toppers.)
A tip! We need to know exactly what you will be putting on the top of your cake. Heavy items like porcelain statues need to have extra support from below so they don't crush your cake.
Cakes that taste as good as they look!
